When Cambridge Town Hall - a Ticketmaster New Zealand Small Venue of the Year 2025 Finalist with 116 years of history - needed furniture to match their major 2025 renovation, they turned to Alloyfold. This category-two historic building serving as the Waikato region's "Village Heart" since 1909 required solutions that would transform their operations while respecting their prestigious heritage.

Since opening in 1909 with funding from American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, Cambridge Town Hall has hosted Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Catherine, the Māori Queen Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu, and former Prime Ministers Sir John Key and Dame Jacinda Ardern. Recognised by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga and owned by Waipa District Council, this iconic venue has welcomed royalty, served as a temporary hospital during the 1918 influenza pandemic, and brought communities together for over a century.

Known by its Māori name Te Whare Tapere o Te Oko Horoi, the venue operates three distinctive spaces. The Main Hall accommodates up to 314 guests with natural acoustics praised by the New Zealand String Quartet, while the Victorian Room and Edwardian Room provide flexible options for events ranging from 20 to 500 attendees. Programming spans corporate expos, orchestral performances, weddings, comedy nights, and community events.

As part of a comprehensive 2025 building revival including air conditioning installation, room upgrades, and roof replacements - managed by Woodview Construction and OCTA Project Managers - the venue needed furniture that would seamlessly transition between formal corporate functions and creative community celebrations. As one of the few venues this size offering self-catering with reduced community rates, the solution had to maintain Ticketmaster-nominated standards while supporting their community mission.

The venue now transitions effortlessly between intimate 20-guest gatherings and combined-space events for 500, positioning Cambridge Town Hall as the region's most adaptable professional event destination.
