The Hilltop

We successfully transformed The Hilltop, a premier wedding and event venue nestled on a picturesque hilltop with sweeping views of Akaroa Harbour in Canterbury, during their complete refurbishment from March to May 2025. 

This iconic Banks Peninsula landmark is a heritage building that received its first licence over 100 years ago and was lovingly restored by local residents Brent and Kim Robertson. 

The venue now offers versatile spaces including a Bridal Lounge, three reception areas, multiple ceremony options, and professional catering partnership through 5th Street restaurant.

The client chose Alloyfold after multiple showroom visits that built strong rapport, selecting the company for their superior product quality and expertise. 

We delivered a comprehensive solution of 100 Bella Evolution chairs in white resin with removable seat pads and 10 Planet 180 round tables in grey, chosen for their comfort, durability, lightweight design, and stacking ability. 

The Bella Evolution chairs weigh just 4.8kg with 500kg load capacity and 5-year warranty, featuring removable pads and interlocking system for stacking up to 20 high. 

The Planet 180 tables offer commercial-grade construction, 300kg capacity, 10-year warranty, and seat 10 people comfortably.

The result transformed the heritage venue with furniture that enhances customer experience, improves operational efficiency, and maintains elegant aesthetics that perfectly complement the sophisticated interior design featuring exposed brick walls, timber beam ceilings, and panoramic harbour views.
